txConnect - Parent Access

In an effort to provide parents/guardians with up-to-date student grades and attendance information, the Driscoll Independent School District has implemented a new online monitoring system “txConnect”.  This web-based program will allow parents/guardians “read only” access to their child’s grades and attendance information. It also features “Alerts” messages that notify a parent that his/her student has grades or attendance information of which you should be aware, such as an absence or a low grade. When a parent creates a txConnect account, they are automatically subscribed to two alerts: Unexcused absence alerts and Failing grades. An alerts subscription may be changed at any time.  Additional information can be obtained by logging on to www.driscollisd.esc2.net and click on txConnect-Parent Training

 We hope that you will find txConnect  a valuable tool for monitoring your students’ academic progress throughout the school year.

This service is governed by the D.I.S.D. Acceptable User Policy [AUP] and agreement (reference district web-site).  Use of this site implies that you have read and agree to all the terms included in the AUP; in addition to the items listed below:

·          Username and passwords are for your use only. Do not share with other parents, relatives, friends, etc.

·          Abuse of this site may result in loss of access privileges.  Abuse may include but not limited to: attempt to bypass site security, sharing ID and password with unauthorized users and/or distributing information obtained from this site in such a manner as to detract from D.I.S.D.’s reputation and/or interfere with normal operations.

·          DISD nor txConnect-Parent make no guarantee or warranty, neither expressed nor implied, as to the accuracy or timeline of the information contained within the system.  Information retrieved via the web site should be regarded as unofficial and nonbinding in nature.  Grades/Attendance is current to the last entry of each teacher.  Any specific questions, concerns, or information requests related to academic performance or attendance should be directed to campus administration, teachers or counselors.

·          The district will not provide technical support for this program and will not be responsible for your inability to access this site from your home or office.

 Waiver of Claims against D.I.S.D.

I understand and agree that D.I.S.D. is not responsible for unauthorized access to student information.  By registering on txConnect-Parent I waive any claims or causes of action I may have against D.I.S.D. by reason of unauthorized access.

Grant of Permission

I affirm that I am the Parent/Legal Guardian of the student(s). As a parent/guardian, I hereby authorize the Driscoll ISD to post my students information on txConnect-Parent.  I understand and agree that this authorization remains in effect until I revoke by means of written notice or upon withdrawal of student from the district.  Furthermore, the Login ID and password are to remain confidential.  Any abuse of this access will result in deactivation of txConnect-Parent access.
